Thailand has an ancient culture, now mixed with western influence. After language study, this team will focus on friendship evangelism. Opportunities include teaching conversational English to Buddhist students and partnering with our long-term workers in an effort to reach out to children, single moms that are coming in off the street, prostitutes, and university students.

North Africa in this area of Africa, the people have a pride in their country as a center for Islamic learning and heritage. Converts to Christianity are often persecuted for their faith. Only about five percent of the population have ever met a Christian or heard the gospel. This is an assignment for the adventurer. After language study, this team will trek into unreached mountain villages, sleep in tents, prayer walk, and share Jesus—in many places, for the first time.

Spain is rich in culture. After language study, this team will be working on friendship evangelism through building relationships with university students, teaching conversational English, and outreach to the homeless and immigrants.

Israel is full of ancient culture with a fascinating history. This team will be working alongside established ministries. Only 2.4 percent of the population professes Christianity. After language study, outreach options include: friendship evangelism, manual labor, and helping long-term workers in any way possible.

Himalayas are full of striking contrasts between the rich and poor, and picturesque mountains and rice fields of the lowlands. Before 1960, no Christian could even live in this country. Today there is more freedom, yet it is still dangerous to convert to Christianity. In spite of this, the church in the Himalayas is the fastest growing church per capita in the world! This team will be involved in a variety of outreaches including trekking into unreached villages, discipleship training, helping in orphanages, and church planting initiatives.

Greece was the first area in Europe where advanced civilizations emerged. Although the Orthodox Church is strong there, the country is very dark spiritually. Many people have limited or no knowledge of who Jesus really is. After language study, this team will be working alongside an established church and may lead worship, work with youth, participate in street ministry, perform dramas, teach conversational English, and reach out through friendship evangelism.

South Asia includes 2.4 percent of the world’s land surface and is home to over 17 percent of the world’s population. In this country, more than 600 million people live in deep poverty, and 300 million live below the means of daily survival. This team will be working alongside a local ministry. Outreach possibilities include teaching English as a second language, both rural and urban evangelism, coffee shop ministry, friendship evangelism, and physical labor.

Kenya is for the brave at heart. Severe drought and the HIV/Aids pandemic have wreaked havoc on the Kenyan people. Many people groups have been displaced here. This team will work in a refugee camp, trek into remote villages, and encourage the local churches. This team will be roughing it. They will encounter scorpions and possibly cobras. There is nothing plush about this outreach but…the need is great.

Chile has a beautiful climate and warm culture. The Incas ruled here up to the 16th century. The Chile team may have the opportunity to live with host families. Outreach possibilities include engaging in evangelism to predominantly unreached people in remote mountain villages and on islands, helping in a new church plant, reaching out through friendship evangelism, teaching conversational English, working with kids’ programs, performing drama, and doing physical labor.
