Family Challenge is a Christ-centered mission trip for the whole family. Many youth group leaders and parents tell us our City Challenge program has been instrumental in shaping the lives of their young people, and we want to make that experience available to whole families as well. We believe God wants to unify and build up families to love each other and further His Kingdom. Come and get away from the distractions of home and refocus on family as you serve, learn, and experience God’s incredible love for you and the people around you.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

During this four-day experience we will provide a clear schedule for your family built around ministry opportunities, creative teaching sessions, and family connections.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Our staff will lead your family in servant evangelism, prayer walking, service projects, and more, giving you a chance to serve and reach out together. Everyone has a role to play in the kingdom, and we hope you will discover that here, and return home with a renewed vision for outreach and Christ-centered service.

CREATIVE SESSIONS
A speaker for the week will share truth for the adults, while our college-aged staff interns will lead age
appropriate programming for children and youth.

FAMILY CONNECTIONS
We believe that you, the parents, are key spiritual influences in the lives of your children, so our focus is on helping you find creative ways to connect with and lead your family during your time in Columbus. These could include daily family devotionals, date night for mom and dad, and various other activities throughout the city.

THE LOCATION

Family Challenge will be hosted at the Rosedale International Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
It has family room accommodations and private guest rooms for smaller families. It also features a recreation/exercise room, a dining hall, and session rooms and is centrally located for various outreaches and activities throughout Columbus.

2012 Dates

The two dates being offered for 2012 are March 14-17 and April 11-14. Each week is available on a first-come, first-served basis, for 3-8 families depending on family size. The registration deadline is six weeks prior to the first day of your chosen City Challenge week. A $100 deposit is required.

COST

$125 per person – ages 13 and up
$75 per person – ages 6–12
Free – children under 5

This cost includes meals, lodging, materials, and a t-shirt. You will be expected to provide most transportation during your time here.
